MANAN WALKS IN. The runner is still going and the boy steps into the drawn world beside him, magnifying glass up. The film's first crossing of its two worlds: anything real is a photograph, anything thought is a pencil drawing, and here they stand in one frame. Both figures are on the same ground line and the runner is the smaller of the two, which is what makes the boy the subject and the runner the thing being examined. SUPERSEDED 3.9.2026 by 1-5-v3. The runner in it was mid sprint, not the collapse.
