KEY FRAME 3 of 3. He has seen it. The whole face relaxes: brow smooth, eyes resting easy on something far ahead and out of frame, the corners of the mouth just lifted. Relief arriving, not shock. End the shot here and cut. The audience asks why he changed, and shot 1.2b answers. He is looking OUT of frame on purpose: if he looked at us the cut would not work.
